Litany of the Most Blessed Sacrament

The Litany of the Most Blessed Sacrament is a powerful prayer that expresses deep reverence and devotion to the Eucharist, the sacrament in which Jesus Christ is believed to be truly present under the appearance of bread and wine. The prayer invokes mercy, grace, and blessings from God, and acknowledges the profound mystery and significance of the Eucharist in the life of the Church. It also petitions for the faithful to approach the sacrament with proper disposition, gratitude, and love, while asking for the intercession of Christ, the Lamb of God, and the strength to live a life worthy of this great gift.

Written by St. Peter Julian Eymard, the founder of the Blessed Sacrament Fathers. This litany is ecclesiastically approved for liturgical use and has the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur.

Invocation of the Holy Spirit
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love.
L: Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created.
R: And You shall renew the face of the earth.

Let us Pray

The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.
