Litany of the Holy Guardian Angel

The Litany of the Holy Guardian Angel is a litany beseeching one’s guardian angel for his protection and support. He is a gift from the Most High; specifically assigned to us individually at birth and stays with us through death. It is written in Psalms 91 “For he commands his angels with regard to you, With their hands they shall support you.”

Who live and reign, world without end. Amen.

Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also known as the Litany of Loreto, was composed in the Middle Ages and approved by Pope Sixtus V in 1587. In 2020, Pope Francis recently added three additional titles (“Mother of mercy”, “Mother of hope”, and “Solace of migrants”), which are included in this video.

Litany for the Poor Souls in Purgatory

The Litany for the Poor Souls in Purgatory is a prayer that asks for mercy and assistance for the souls in purgatory. It invokes the saints and Mary to intercede on behalf of the suffering souls so that they may be released from purgatory and enter heaven. May, therefore, the splendid company of angels meet your soul at its departure; may the court of the apostles receive you; may the triumphant army of glorious martyrs conduct you; may the crowds of joyful confessors encompass you; may the choir of blessed virgins go before you; may a happy rest be your portion in the company of the patriarchs; and may Christ Jesus appear to you with a mild and cheerful countenance, and give you a place among those who are to be in His presence forever. May you be a stranger to all that which is punished with darkness, chastised with flames, and condemned with torments. May the wicked enemy, with all his evil spirits, depart from you; may he tremble at your approach in the company of the angels, and retire into the horrid confusion of eternal night.
