The Litany of Gratitude is a prayer of thanksgiving that walks through the many gifts God has given us, from the gift of life and faith to family, home, daily bread, and the trials that draw us closer to Him. It moves from the mercy of God through the daily blessings of everyday life and closes with a prayer asking that our lives, not just our words, become an expression of gratitude to Him.

For the gift of life, thank You, Lord.
For every breath You give us, thank You, Lord.
For the gift of faith, thank You, Lord.
For being made Your children in baptism, thank You, Lord.
For the Body and Blood of Christ, thank You, Lord.
For the mercy poured out in confession, thank You, Lord.
For the Word of God, ever living, thank You, Lord.
For Mary, our Mother, given to us at the foot of the cross, thank You, Lord.
For the saints whose lives bear witness to Your grace, thank You, Lord.
For our guardian angels, ever at our side, thank You, Lord.
For those who love us, and whom we love, thank You, Lord.
For friends who walk beside us, thank You, Lord.
For those who have gone before us in faith, thank You, Lord.
For our homes that shelter us, thank You, Lord.
For the food that nourishes us, thank You, Lord.
For work that gives purpose to our lives, thank You, Lord.
For rest at the close of day, thank You, Lord.
For the beauty of creation, thank You, Lord.
For the sun that rises without fail, thank You, Lord.
For the seasons You have set in their time, thank You, Lord.
For joy in good times, and support in hard times, thank You, Lord.
For trials that deepen our faith, thank You, Lord.
For the strength to carry our crosses, thank You, Lord.
For every prayer You have answered, as hoped for or not, thank You, Lord.
For the patience You show us in our weaknesses, thank You, Lord.
For forgiveness when we fail, thank You, Lord.
For the hope of Heaven, thank You, Lord.
For the promise that You are always near, thank You, Lord.

Let us pray.
Father of all goodness, every gift we have is a sign of Your love. Teach us to see Your goodness in every part of our lives, and to live each day as an offering of gratitude back to You. May our lives speak the thanks our words cannot. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
