The Five Prayers of Fatima

The Five Prayers of Fatima are a collection of sacred prayers given to three shepherd children — Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta — through the apparitions of the Angel of Peace in 1916 and Our Lady of Fatima in 1917 at the Cova da Iria near Fátima, Portugal. These prayers were entrusted to the children as powerful acts of faith, adoration, reparation, and sacrifice, offered to the Most Holy Trinity and in honor of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The Five Prayers of Fatima

The Pardon Prayer

My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love Thee! I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love Thee.

The Pardon Prayer was given by the Angel of Peace during his first apparition to the three shepherd children — Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta — in the spring of 1916 at the Cova da Iria near Fátima, Portugal. The Angel instructed them to pray it as an act of faith, adoration, hope, and love on behalf of those who do not offer these gifts to God.

The Eucharistic Prayer

Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly, and I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

The Eucharistic Prayer was given by the Angel of Peace during his third apparition in the autumn of 1916, when he appeared holding a chalice and Host and prostrated himself before them in adoration. He taught the children this prayer of reparation to the Most Holy Trinity, offered in union with the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ present in the tabernacles of the world.

The Prayer of Adoration

Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Amen.

The Prayer of Adoration is also connected to the apparitions of the Angel of Peace, and is a concentrated act of adoration directed to the Most Holy Trinity, with particular devotion to the Real Presence of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

The Fatima Prayer

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy.

The Fatima Prayer was given by Our Lady of Fatima during the apparition of July 13, 1917, when she asked that it be added to the end of each decade of the Holy Rosary.

The Sacrifice Prayer

O Jesus, I offer this for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The Sacrifice Prayer was given to the children by Our Lady of Fatima, who asked them to recite it whenever they offered a sacrifice or act of penance. It unites every suffering and sacrifice to the love of Jesus and the cause of souls, in reparation for sins against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
