The Novena to St. Teresa of Avila is a nine-day devotion leading to the feast day of this beloved saint. In it, the faithful ask God to awaken in them her same longing for holiness, invoke her intercession over the Carmelite family, and place their own personal petitions before the Lord.
St. Teresa of Avila was a 16th-century Spanish mystic, Carmelite nun, and Doctor of the Church who played a key role in the Catholic Counter-Reformation. She is celebrated for her profound writings on prayer and contemplation, as well as for reforming the Carmelite Order and founding monasteries across Spain.
Novena Dates: October 6-14 / Feast Day: October 15
