The Divine Mercy Novena is traditionally prayed starting on Good Friday and concluding on the Saturday after Easter (the eve of Divine Mercy Sunday); although it can be prayed any time of the year. This nine-day prayer devotion was revealed by Jesus to St. Faustina Kowalska, asking the faithful to immerse themselves in His infinite mercy. Each day of the novena focuses on a different group of souls to bring before the merciful heart of Jesus. The devotion ends on Divine Mercy Sunday, a feast established by Pope John Paul II in 2000, when special graces are promised to those who receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Eucharist.
The novena prayers and chaplet prayers can be found in our book, Catholic Prayers & Devotions: A Treasury of Grace for the Faithful (Volume I). Available on Amazon in e-book, paperback, and hardcover.
