The “Three O’clock Hour” is the hour that Christ died on the cross. It was at this moment that the gates of Heaven opened up for souls, and according to the Diary of St. Faustina, Jesus said that it is the hour of great mercy. Whatever a soul asks of the Lord at this hour, he will not deny, as long as it is asked with love and trust in His Divine Mercy. This prayer was given to St. Faustina by Jesus to be said at the 3 o’clock hour each day. The Divine Mercy Chaplet is ordinarily prayed afterwards (Divine Mercy Chaplet).
