Novena to the Holy Face of Jesus

The Novena to the Holy Face of Jesus is a nine-day prayer devotion honoring the sacred countenance of Our Lord as it appeared during His Passion. This devotion originated through revelations given to Sister Marie of St. Peter (1816–1848), a Discalced Carmelite nun in Tours, France, who reported that Jesus desired reparation for blasphemy and the profanation of Sundays. Through this novena, the faithful contemplate Christ’s suffering with love, make reparation for sin, and seek pardon and mercy through the merits of His Passion.

OPENING PRAYER
O Most Holy and Blessed Trinity, through the intercession of Holy Mary, whose soul was pierced through by a sword of sorrow at the sight of the passion of her Divine Son, we ask Your help in making a perfect Novena of reparation with Jesus, united with all His sorrows, love and total abandonment. We now implore all the Angels and Saints to intercede for us as we pray this Holy Novena to the Most Holy Face of Jesus and for the glory of the most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

PSALM 51:3-4
Have mercy on me, O God in Your goodness,
in Your great tenderness wipe away my faults:
wash me clean of my guilt, purify me from my sin.

O most Holy Face of Jesus, look with tenderness on us, who are sinners. You are a merciful God, full of love and compassion. Keep us pure of heart, so that we may see You always.

Mary, our Mother, intercede for us;
St. Joseph, pray for us.

Through the merits of Your Precious Blood and Your Holy Face, O Jesus, grant us pardon and mercy, and hear our petitions…

PRAYER TO OUR ALMIGHTY FATHER
Almighty Father, come into our hearts, and so fill us with Your love that forsaking all evil desires, we may embrace You, our only good. Show us, O Lord our God, what You are to us. Say to our souls, “I am Your salvation”; speak so that we may hear. Our hearts are before You; open our ears; let us hasten after Your voice.

Hide not Your Face from us, we beseech You, O Lord. Open our hearts so that You may enter in. Repair the ruined mansions, that You may dwell therein. Hear us, O Heavenly Father, for the sake of Your only Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Our Father…
Hail Mary… (3 times)
Glory be…

O Bleeding Face, O Face Divine, be every adoration Thine.

My sin is always before me.
Against You, You alone, have I sinned;
What is evil in Your sight I have done.

Most Holy Face of Jesus, we are truly sorry that we have hurt You so much by constantly doing what is wrong; and for all the good works we have failed to do. Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Joseph, intercede for us, help us to console the Most Holy Face of Jesus. Pray that we may share in the tremendous love Thou hast for one another, and for the most Holy and Blessed Trinity. PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
Come, Holy Spirit, Sanctifier, all powerful God of love, Thou who didst fill the Virgin Mary with grace, Thou who didst wonderfully transform the hearts of the apostles. Thou who didst endow all Thy martyrs with a miraculous heroism, home and sanctify us, illumine our minds, strengthen our wills, purify our consciences, rectify our judgments, set our hearts on fire and preserve us from the misfortune of resisting Thine inspirations. We consecrate to Thee our understanding, our heart and our will, our whole being for time and for eternity. May our understanding be always submissive to Thy heavenly inspirations and to the teachings of Thy Holy Catholic Church, of which Thou art the infallible guide; May our heart be ever inflamed with love of God and neighbor, may our will be ever conformed to the divine will, and may our whole life be a faithful imitation of the life and virtues of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to whom with the Father and Thee be honor and glory forever. Amen.

blameless when You give judgment.
You know I was born guilty,
a sinner from the moment of conception.

O Jesus! Cast upon us a look of mercy: turn Your Face towards each of us… as You did to Veronica; not that we may see it with our bodily eyes, for this we do not deserve, But turn it towards our hearts, so that, remembering You, we may ever draw from this fountain of strength the vigor necessary to sustain the combats of life. Amen.

O wash me. I shall be whiter than snow.

O Lord Jesus, who has said, learn from me for I am meek and gentle of heart, and who did manifest upon Thy Holy Face the sentiments of Thy divine heart, grant that we may love to come frequently and meditate upon Thy divine features. May we read there Thy gentleness and Thy humility, and learn how to form our hearts in the practice of these two virtues which Thou desires to see shine in Thy servants.

Mary, our Mother, and St. Joseph, help us.

Through the merits of Your Precious Blood and Your Holy Face, O Jesus, grant us pardon and mercy, and hear our petitions…

PRAYER IN HONOR OF THE DOLORS OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN
O Most Holy and afflicted Virgin, Queen of Martyrs!
Who stood beneath the cross, witnessing the agony of your dying Son,
look down with a mother’s tenderness and pity on us,
as we kneel before you to venerate your Dolors
and place our requests, with filial confidence,
in the sanctuary of your wounded heart.

Present them on our behalf to Jesus,
Through the merits of His most sacred Passion and Death,
together with your sufferings at the foot of the cross,
and through the united efficacy of both,
obtain the favor which we humbly ask.

To whom shall we go in our wants and miseries if not to you. O Mother of Mercy, who having so deeply drunk of the chalice of your Son, graciously alleviate the sufferings of those who still sigh in this land of exile. Amen.

PRAYER TO THE SOULS IN PURGATORY
My Jesus, by the sorrows You suffered in Your agony in the Garden, in Your scourging and crowning with thorns, in the way to Calvary, in Your Crucifixion and Death, have mercy on the souls in Purgatory, and especially on those that are most forsaken. Deliver them from the dire torments they endure. Call them and admit them to Your most sweet embrace in Paradise. Amen.

Our Father…
Hail Mary… (pray 3 times)
Glory be…

O Bleeding Face, O Face Divine, be every adoration Thine.
O Bleeding Face, O Face Divine, be every adoration Thine.

Give me again the joy of Your help,
with a spirit of fervor sustain me,
that I may teach transgressors Your ways
and sinners may return to you.

Lord Jesus! After contemplating Thy features, disfigured by grief, after meditating upon Thy passion with compunction and love, how can our hearts fail to be inflamed with a holy hatred of sin, which even now outrages Thy Adorable Face!

Lord, suffer us not to be content with mere compassion, but give us grace so closely to follow Thee in this Calvary, so that the opprobrium destined for Thee may fall on us, O Jesus, that thus we may have a share, small though it may be, in expiation of sin. Amen.

O Lord, open my lips,

PRAYER TO ST PETER
O glorious St. Peter, who in return for thy lively and generous faith, thy profound and sincere humility and thy burning love, was honored by Jesus Christ with singular privileges, and in particular, with the leadership of the other apostles and the primacy of the whole Church, of which thou was made the foundation stone, do thou obtain for us the grace of a lively faith, that shall not fear to profess itself openly in its entirety and in all of its  manifestations, even to the shedding of blood, if occasion should demand it, and to the sacrifice of life itself in preference to surrender. Obtain for us likewise a sincere loyalty to our Holy Mother the Church. Grant that we may ever remain most closely and sincerely united to the Holy Father, who is the heir of thy faith and of thy authority, the one true visible head of the Catholic Church. Grant, moreover, that we may follow, in all humility and meekness, the Church’s teachings and counsels and may be obedient to all her precepts, in order to be able, here on earth, to enjoy a peace that is sure and undisturbed, and to attain one day in heaven to everlasting happiness. Amen.

[Prayer Video for Day 9]

PRAYER TO THE HOLY TRINITY
Most Holy Trinity, Godhead indivisible, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, our first beginning and our last end. Since You have made us after Your own image and likeness, grant that all the thoughts of our minds, all the words of our tongues, all the affections of our hearts, and all our actions, may be always conformed to Your most Holy Will, so that, after having seen You here on earth in appearances and in a dark manner by the means of faith, we may come at last to contemplate You face to face, in the perfect possession of You forever in paradise. Amen.

ACT OF CONSECRATION
O Lord Jesus, we believe most firmly in You, we love You. You are the Eternal Son of God and the Son Incarnate of the Blessed Virgin Mary. You are the Lord and Absolute Ruler of all creation. We acknowledge You, therefore, as the Universal Sovereign of all creatures. You are the Lord and Supreme Ruler of all mankind, and we, in acknowledging this Your dominion, consecrate ourselves to You now and forever.

Loving Jesus, we place our family under the protection of Your Holy Face, and of Your Virgin Mother, Mary most sorrowful. We promise to be faithful to You for the rest of our lives and to observe with fidelity Your Holy Commandments. We will never deny before men, You and Your Divine rights over us and all  mankind.

Grant us the grace to never sin again; nevertheless, should we fail, O Divine Savior, have mercy on us and restore us to Your grace. Radiate Your Divine Countenance upon us and bless us now and forever. Embrace us at the hour of death in Your Kingdom for all eternity, through the intercession of Your Blessed Mother, of all Your Saints who behold You in Heaven, and the just who glorify You on earth. O Jesus, be mindful of us forever and never forsake us; protect our family.

O Mother of Sorrows, by the eternal glory which you enjoy in Heaven, through the merits of your bitter anguish in the Sacred Passion of your Beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, obtain for us the grace that the Precious Blood, shed by Jesus for the redemption of our souls, be not shed for us in vain. We love you, O Mary. Embrace us and bless us, O Mother. Protect us in life and in death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Novena to Santo Niño

The “Novena to Santo Niño” honors the Holy Child Jesus, a beloved devotion that holds a special place in Catholic tradition, particularly in the Philippines and throughout Latin America, where it has inspired deep faith and countless miracles for over 500 years.

The most famous image of the Santo Niño is the Santo Niño de Cebú, a dark-skinned figure of the Child Jesus holding a globe and raising His hand in blessing. This statue was given by Ferdinand Magellan to Queen Juana of Cebu upon her baptism in 1521, making it the oldest Christian relic in the Philippines. Miraculously preserved through fire and war, the Santo Niño de Cebú remains enshrined in the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño in Cebu City.

The Feast of Santo Niño is celebrated on the third Sunday of January, drawing millions of devoted pilgrims to honor the Holy Child. Through this devotion, the faithful are reminded of Christ’s humility in becoming a child, His tender love for humanity, and His invitation to approach Him with childlike trust and simplicity.

The Santo Niño is venerated as a powerful intercessor for families, children, the sick, and all who seek the gentle mercy of Our Lord. Many faithful have experienced healings, protection, and answered prayers through devotion to the Holy Child.

Novena to Santo Niño

O Señor Santo Niño, You are our king and our God, we worship You. You are our strong defender, we turn to You. You are the patron of Cebu, the Philippines, and the world, we come to You.

You have made extraordinary wonders through Your miraculous image in those chosen islands, remember us. Look down at this poor soul that comes to You for help.

Lead us with Your wisdom; discipline us with Your truth; console us with Your tenderness, protect us with Your might.

We consecrate today our thoughts of You, only with You shall they be occupied; our words, only of You shall they speak; our sufferings, that we may endure them for Your sake.

We beg You Señor Santo Niño, illumine our understanding, kindle our will, cleanse our body, sanctify our soul. We wish what You wish, because You wish, as You wish, as long as You wish.

Grant us, Señor Santo Niño, that we may feel love toward You, be strict toward ourselves, be zealous toward our fellowmen, and rightly despise the things of the world. Help us to overcome sensuality with strict discipline, avariciousness with generosity, anger with gentleness, indolence with zealous industry. Make us wise in counsel, courageous in danger, patient in adversity, humble in prosperity.

Teach us, dear Santo Niño, how worthless is the world, how sublime is heaven, how brief is time, how long is eternity.

Grant us, lastly, that we may remember You, adore You, love You and serve You here on earth; that we may be happy with You forever and ever in heaven. Amen.

Novena to Our Lady of Hope

The “Novena to Our Lady of Hope” is a powerful nine-day prayer devotion that invites us to turn to the Blessed Virgin Mary in times of spiritual darkness, discouragement, and distress. This beautiful novena acknowledges our human weaknesses, sins, and fears while simultaneously calling upon Mary’s maternal intercession and her powerful advocacy before the throne of her Divine Son, Jesus Christ.

The title of Our Lady of Hope honors the Blessed Virgin Mary under a title associated with her 1871 apparition at Pontmain, France. As war threatened the region, Mary appeared in the night sky to several children, displaying the message: “But pray, my children. God will hear you in time. My Son allows Himself to be touched.” Within days, the war ended and the village was spared. This devotion reminds us that even in our darkest moments, Mary intercedes for her children, pointing us always toward her Son.

Novena to Our Lady of Hope

O Mary, my Mother, I kneel before you with heavy heart. The burden of my sins oppresses me. The knowledge of my weakness discourages me. I am beset by fears and temptations of every sort. Yet I am so attached to the things of this world that instead of longing for Heaven I am filled with dread at the thought of death.

O Mother of Mercy, have pity on me in my distress. You are all-powerful with your Divine Son. He can refuse no request of your Immaculate Heart. Show yourself a true Mother to me by being my advocate before His throne. O Refuge of Sinners and Hope of the Hopeless, to whom shall I turn if not you?

Obtain for me, then, O Mother of Hope, the grace of true sorrow for my sins, the gift of perfect resignation to God’s Holy Will, and the courage to take up my cross and follow Jesus. Beg of His Sacred Heart the special favor that I ask in this novena.

But above all I pray, O dearest Mother, that through your most powerful intercession my heart may be filled with Holy Hope, so that in life’s darkest hour I may never fail to trust in God my Savior, but by walking in the way of His commandments I may merit to be united with Him, and with you in the eternal joys of Heaven. Amen.

Mary, our Hope, have pity on us.
Hope of the Hopeless, pray for us.

Novena for the Poor Souls in Purgatory

The “Novena for the Poor Souls in Purgatory” is a nine-day prayer devotion to assist those who have passed on in their journey toward heaven. By dedicating nine days to prayer, we can ease the purification of these souls and help them attain the eternal joy of God’s presence. This act of spiritual charity not only benefits the departed but also deepens our own faith and reminds us of the communion of saints. Participating in this novena allows us to express love beyond earthly boundaries and to play a role in the divine mercy that leads souls to their heavenly home.

Novena for the Poor Souls in Purgatory

Day 1

First Day – Meditation  [Prayer Video for Day 1]
Manifold are the sufferings which these Blessed Souls must endure, but the greatest of all is the reflection that their sins in life are the cause of their present torments.

First Day – Prayer
O Jesus, my Savior, I have so often deserved to be cast into Hell; how great would be my suffering if I were now cast away and obliged to think that I, myself, had caused my damnation! I thank Thee for the patience which Thou hast endured me. My God, I love Thee above all things and I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee because Thou art infinite goodness. I would rather die than offend Thee again. Grant me the grace of perseverance; have pity on me, and at the same time on those Blessed Souls suffering in Purgatory. O Mary, Mother of God, come to their assistance with thy powerful intercession.

Novena for the Poor Souls in Purgatory

Day 2

Second Day – Meditation    [Pray Video for Day 2]
The second pain which causes these Holy Souls much suffering is the time lost in life when they might have gained merits for Heaven; and the thought that they were unable to repair this loss, because the time of life and merit is passed.

Second Day – Prayer
Woe to me, unhappy being, so many years have I already spent on earth and have earned naught but Hell! I give Thee thanks, O Lord, for granting me time even now to atone for my sins. My good God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee. Send me Thy assistance that I may apply the time yet remaining to me for Thy love and service; have compassion on me, and, at the same time, on the Holy Souls suffering in Purgatory. O Mary, Mother of God, come to their assistance with thy powerful intercession.

Novena for the Poor Souls in Purgatory

Day 3

Third Day – Meditation    [Prayer Video for Day 3]
Another great pain of the Holy Souls is caused by the hideous vision of their guilt, for which they now suffer. In this life the hideousness of sin is not seen as in the life to come; and this is one of the greatest sufferings in Purgatory.

Third Day – Prayer
O my God! because Thou art infinite goodness, I love Thee above all things, and repent with my whole heart of my offenses against Thee. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance. Have  compassion on me, and, at the same time, on the Holy Souls suffering in Purgatory. O Mary, Mother of God, come to their assistance with thy powerful intercession.

Novena for the Poor Souls in Purgatory

Day 4

Fourth Day – Meditation     [Pray video for Day 4]
The pain that afflicts these Holy Souls most, the spouses of Jesus, is the thought of having, during life, by their sins, displeased God, Whom they so ardently love. Some penitents have felt so much pain and sorrow in thinking of their offenses, that they died of grief. The Souls in Purgatory understand far better than we do the claim that God has to our love; they love Him with all their strength. Hence, at the thought of having offended Him during life, they experience pain that surpasses all other pain.

Fourth Day – Prayer
O my God! because Thou art infinite goodness, I am sorry with my whole heart for having  offended Thee. I would rather die than ever offend Thee again. Give me holy perseverance; have pity on me, and have pity on those Holy Souls that burn in the cleansing fire and who love Thee with all their hearts. O Mary, Mother of God, come to their assistance with thy powerful intercession.

Novena for the Poor Souls in Purgatory

Day 5

Fifth Day – Meditation     [Pray video for Day 5]
Another great suffering of these Holy Souls is their ignorance of the hour of their deliverance from Purgatory. Though they are certain of being released one day,  the uncertainty of the hour of when their Purgatorial term will end gives them great pain.

Fifth Day – Prayer
Woe to me, miserable being, if Thou, O Lord, shall cast me into eternal Hell; for from that dungeon of eternal pain there is no deliverance. I love Thee above all things, O infinite God, and I am sincerely sorry for having ever offended Thee. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance. Have compassion on me, and, at the same time on the Holy Souls suffering in Purgatory. O Mary, Mother of God, come to their assistance with thy powerful intercession.

Novena for the Poor Souls in Purgatory

Day 6

Sixth Day – Meditation     [Prayer video for Day 6]
The Holy Souls are, indeed, comforted by the recollection of the Passion of Jesus Christ, and the Holy Sacrament of the Altar, since they know they are saved by the Passion of Jesus Christ, and have received, and still receive, so much consolation from Holy Masses and Holy  Communions. Nevertheless, they are greatly pained by the recollection of their ingratitude for these two great gifts of the love of Jesus Christ.

Sixth Day – Prayer
O my Divine Redeemer, Thou didst die for me on the Cross and hast so often united Thyself with me in Holy Communion, and I have repaid Thee only with ingratitude. Now, however, I love Thee above all things, O supreme God; and I am more grieved at my offenses against Thee than at any other evil. I would rather die than offend Thee again. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance. Have compassion on me, and, at the same time, on the Holy Souls suffering in Purgatory. O Mary, Mother of God, come to their assistance with thy powerful intercession.

Day 7

Seventh Day – Meditation     [Prayer video for Day 7]
A further great sorrow of these Holy Souls consists in their ardent desire for the Beatific Vision. Slowly and painfully the moments of their Purgatorial imprisonment pass by; for they love God deeply, and desire to be delivered from their sad state in order to praise Him forever.

Seventh Day – Prayer
O God, Father of Mercy, satisfy this, their ardent desire! Send them Thy holy Angel to announce to them that Thou, their Father, art now reconciled with them through the suffering and death of Jesus, and that the moment of their deliverance has arrived.  O Mary, Mother of God, come to their assistance with thy powerful intercession.

Day 8

Eighth Day – Meditation     [Prayer video for Day 8]
Another bitter sorrow of these Souls is caused by their reflection that God had bestowed upon them so many graces not granted to others, and that they compelled Him, by their sins, to condemn them to these sufferings. they had deserved Hell, but were pardoned and saved only by the mercy of God.

Eighth Day – Prayer
O my God! I also am one of these ungrateful beings, having received so many graces, and yet despised Thy love; and deserve to be cast by Thee into Hell. But Thy infinite goodness has spared me until now. Therefore, I now love Thee above all things, and I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance. Have compassion on me, and, at the same time,  on the Holy Souls suffering in Purgatory. O Mary, Mother of God, come to their assistance with thy powerful intercession.

Novena for the Poor Souls in Purgatory

Day 9

Ninth Day – Meditation     [Prayer video for Day 9]
Great are all the sufferings of the Holy Souls in Purgatory: the fire, the grief, the darkness; the uncertainty of the time of their deliverance from prison. but the greatest of all these sorrows is this: that these Holy Souls are separated from their Divine Spouse, and deprived of His Beatific Vision.

Ninth Day – Prayer
O my God! how was it possible that I, for so many years, have borne tranquilly the separation from Thee and Thy holy grace! Henceforth, I shall love Thee above all things. I am deeply sorry for having offended Thee. Grant me the grace of holy perseverance, and do not permit that I should ever again fall into sin. Have compassion on the Holy Souls suffering in Purgatory. I pray Thee, moderate these sufferings; shorten the time of their misery; call them soon unto Thee in Heaven, that they may behold Thee face to face, and forever love Thee. O Mary, Mother of God, come to their assistance with thy powerful intercession. And pray for us also who are still in danger of eternal damnation.

Closing Prayers

On Thy Spouses have compassion, on these suffering children Thine; Make these Holy Souls partakers of Thy happiness Divine.

R. Have mercy on them, O Lord.

O most sweet Jesus, through the pains which Thou didst suffer during Thy most cruel Crucifixion, have mercy on them.

R. Have mercy on them, O Lord.

O most sweet Jesus, through the immense pain which Thou didst suffer in breathing forth Thy Blessed Soul, have mercy on them.
R. Have mercy on them, O Lord.

Blessed Souls, we have prayed for thee; we entreat thee, who are so dear to God, and who are secure of never losing Him, to pray for us miserable sinners, who are in danger of being damned, and of losing God forever. Amen

Out of the Depths Prayer (De Profundis)
(Carries a partial indulgence)
Out of the depths I cry to You, O Lord; Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive to my voice in supplication: If you, O Lord, mark iniquities, Lord, who can stand? But with You is forgiveness, that You may be revered. I trust in the Lord; my soul trusts in His word. My soul waits for the Lord, more than sentinels wait for the dawn. More than sentinels wait for the dawn, let Israel wait for the Lord; For with the Lord is kindness and with Him is plenteous redemption; And He will redeem Israel from all their iniquities.

Novena to Mary, Undoer of Knots

The “Novena to Mary, Undoer of Knots” is a powerful and deeply moving devotion that invites us to bring our most tangled struggles and seemingly impossible situations to the loving care of Our Lady. This prayer recognizes Mary as the Mother who never refuses to help her children, acknowledging her unique role as the one whom God has entrusted to untangle the knots that bind us in our spiritual, emotional, and material lives. Rooted in the symbolic image of Mary as the one who unties knots – representing problems, anxieties, sins, and difficulties that seem impossible to resolve on our own – this novena offers hope to all who feel overwhelmed by life’s complications.

Novena to Mary, Undoer of Knots

[Pray this prayer for nine consecutive days, offering to Mary the “knots” in your life.]

Virgin Mary, Mother of fair love, Mother who never refuses to come to the aid of a child in need, Mother whose hands never cease to serve your beloved children because they are moved by the divine love and immense mercy that exist in your heart, cast your compassionate eyes upon me and see the snarl of knots that exists in my life. You know very well how desperate I am, my pain, and how I am bound by these knots.

Mary, Mother to whom God entrusted the undoing of the knots in the lives of his children, I entrust into your hands the ribbon of my life. No one, not even the Evil One himself, can take it away from your precious care. In your hands there is no knot that cannot be undone.

Powerful Mother, by your grace and intercessory power with Your Son and My Liberator, Jesus, take into your hands today this knot:

I beg you to undo it for the glory of God, once and for all. You are my hope.

O my Lady, you are the only consolation God gives me, the fortification of my feeble strength, the enrichment of my destitution, and, with Christ, the freedom from my chains. Hear my plea. Keep me, guide me, protect me, o safe  refuge!

Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for me.

Novena to the Infant Mary

Novena to the Infant Mary

The “Novena to the Infant Mary” devotion invites us to contemplate the blessed Virgin Mary in her earliest years, from the moment of her Immaculate Conception through her childhood. This nine-day prayer honors Mary as the pure and holy child who was destined from her very beginning to become the Mother of God, recognizing her unique privilege of being conceived without original sin.

Holy Child Mary of the royal house of David,
Queen of the angels,
Mother of grace and love,
I greet you with all my heart.
Obtain for me the grace to love the Lord faithfully
during all the days of my life.
Obtain for me, too,
a great devotion to you,
who are the first creature of God’s love.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

O heavenly Child Mary,
who like a pure dove was born immaculate and beautiful,
true prodigy of the wisdom of God,
my soul rejoices in you.
Oh! Do help me to preserve the angelic virtue of purity
at the cost of any sacrifice.

Hail Mary, full of grace…

Hail, lovely and holy Child,
spiritual garden of delight,
where, on the day of the Incarnation,
the tree of life was planted,
assist me to avoid the poisonous fruit of vanity
and pleasures of the world.
Help me to engraft into my soul the thoughts,
feelings, and virtues of your Divine Son.

Hail Mary, full of grace…

Hail, admirable Child Mary,
Mystical Rose, closed garden,
open only to the heavenly Spouse.
O Lily of paradise,
make me love the humble and hidden life;
let the heavenly Spouse find the gate of my heart
always open to the loving calls
of His graces and inspiration.

Hail Mary, full of grace…

Holy Child Mary, mystical dawn,
gate of heaven, you are my trust and hope.
O powerful advocate,
from your cradle stretch out your hand,
support me on the path of life.
Make me serve God with ardor and constancy
until death and so reach an eternity with you.

Hail Mary, full of grace…

Blessed Child Mary,
destined to be the Mother of God and our loving Mother,
by the heavenly graces you lavish upon us,
mercifully listen to my supplications.
In the needs which press upon me from every side
and especially in my present tribulation,
I place all my trust in you.

O holy Child,
by the privileges granted to you alone
and by the merits which you have acquired,
show that the source of spiritual favors
and the continuous benefits
which you dispense are inexhaustible,
because your power with the Heart of God is unlimited.

Deign through the immense profusion of graces
with which the Most High has enriched you
from the first moment of your Immaculate Conception,
grant me, O Celestial Child, my petition,
and I shall eternally praise the goodness
of your Immaculate Heart.

Queenship of Mary Novena

The “Queenship of Mary Novena” is a beautiful nine-day devotion honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth. This novena is traditionally prayed in preparation for the Feast of the Queenship of Mary, celebrated on August 22nd, eight days after the Solemnity of the Assumption. However, this powerful prayer can be prayed at any time throughout the year when we seek Mary’s maternal intercession. Through this prayer, we acknowledge Our Lady’s royal dignity as the Mother of Christ the King, and we seek her powerful intercession in our times of need.

Queenship of Mary Novena

O Mary Immaculate Queen, look down upon this distressed and suffering world. You know our misery and our weakness. O thou who art our Mother, saving us in the hour of peril, have compassion on us in these days of great and heavy trial.

Jesus has confided to you the treasure of His grace, and through you He wills to grant us pardon and mercy. In these hours of anguish, therefore, your children come to you as their hope.

We recognize your Queenship and ardently desire your triumph. We need a Mother and a Mother’s Heart. You are for us the luminous dawn which dissipates our darkness and points out the way to life. In your clemency, obtain for us the courage and the confidence of which we have such need.

Most Holy and Adorable Trinity, You Who did crown with glory in Heaven the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Savior, grant that all her children on earth may acknowledge her as their Sovereign Queen, that all hearts, homes, and nations may recognize her rights as Mother and as Queen.

Mary Immaculate Queen, triumph and reign!  Amen.

Novena to St. Philomena

The “Novena to St. Philomena” is a 9-day invocation to one of the Church’s most beloved young saints and martyrs, often called the “Wonder-Worker” for the countless miracles attributed to her intercession. This prayer honors St. Philomena’s extraordinary courage and purity, as she chose martyrdom rather than abandon her faith and consecrated virginity when faced with the advances of Emperor Diocletian. Countless faithful have reported healings, conversions, and spiritual graces through St. Philomena’s intercession.

Novena to St. Philomena

O great St. Philomena, glorious Virgin and Martyr, wonder-worker of our age, I return most fervent thanks to God for the miraculous gifts bestowed on thee, and beseech thee to impart to me a share in the graces and blessings of which thou hast been the channel to so many souls. Through the heroic fortitude with which thou didst confront the fury of tyrants and brave the frowns of the mighty, rather than swerve from thy allegiance to the King of Heaven, obtain for me purity of body and soul, purity of heart and desire, purity of thought and affection.

Through thy patience under multiplied sufferings, obtain for me a submissive acceptance of all the afflictions it may please God to send me and as thou didst miraculously escape unhurt from the waters of the Tiber, into which thou wert cast by order of thy persecutor, so may I pass through the waters of tribulation without detriment to my soul. In addition to these favors, obtain for me, O faithful spouse of Jesus, the particular intention I earnestly recommend to thee at this moment.

O pure Virgin and holy Martyr, deign to cast a look of pity from Heaven on thy devoted servant, comfort me in affliction, assist me in danger, above all come to my aid in the hour of death. Watch over the interests of the Church of God, pray for its exaltation and prosperity, the extension of the faith, for the Sovereign Pontiff, for the clergy, for the perseverance of the just, the conversion of sinners, and the relief of the souls in purgatory, especially those dear to me.

O great Saint, whose triumph we celebrate on earth, intercede for me, that I may one day behold the crown of glory bestowed on thee in Heaven, and eternally bless Him who so liberally rewards for all eternity the sufferings endured for His love during this short life. Amen.

The 54-Day Rosary Novena: When Doctors Gave Up, Mary Stepped In

When a young Italian woman lay dying in 1884, abandoned by the most celebrated physicians of her time, something extraordinary happened that would change Catholic devotional life forever. What began as a desperate family’s last resort became a powerful spiritual practice that has touched hundreds of thousands of lives across nearly 150 years.

listen as you read

Nearly two months of prayer. Fifty-four consecutive days of turning to the Rosary with unwavering dedication. To many, this might seem daunting, even impossible in our fast-paced world. Yet for over 140 years, Catholics worldwide have discovered something extraordinary happens when they commit to this intensive devotion to Our Lady of Pompeii.

The Miraculous Origins

The 54-Day Rosary Novena traces its origins to a powerful apparition of Our Lady of Pompeii to a young Italian woman named Fortuna Agrelli in 1884. For thirteen months, Fortuna had endured dreadful sufferings from an incurable illness. The most celebrated physicians had given up hope, declaring her case hopeless.

On February 16, 1884, the afflicted girl and her family began a novena of Rosaries, desperately seeking Our Lady’s intercession. Their faithful prayers were answered in the most extraordinary way when the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Fortuna on March 3, 1884.

In this miraculous apparition, Mary sat upon a high throne, profusely decorated with flowers, holding the Divine Child on her lap and a Rosary in her hand. Both the Virgin Mother and the holy Infant were clothed in gold-embroidered garments. They were accompanied by St. Dominic and St. Catherine of Siena, and the beauty of Our Lady was described as marvelous beyond words.

When Fortuna called upon Mary as “Queen of the Holy Rosary,” Our Lady responded with words that would echo through the centuries: “Child, thou has invoked me by various titles and hast always obtained favors from me. Now, since thou hast called me by that title so pleasing to me, ‘Queen of the Holy Rosary,’ I can no longer refuse the favor thou dost petition; for this name is most precious and dear to me.”

Our Lady then instructed Fortuna to make three novenas in petition. Later, the Queen of the Holy Rosary appeared again and revealed the complete structure of this powerful devotion: “Whoever desires to obtain favors from me should make three novenas of the prayers of the Rosary, and three novenas in thanksgiving.”

Obedient to Our Lady’s instruction, Fortuna and her family completed the six novenas, and the young girl was restored to perfect health, her family showered with many blessings.

Extraordinary Graces and Testimonies

Throughout the decades since its revelation, countless testimonies have emerged from those who have completed the 54-Day Rosary Novena. These accounts speak not only of answered prayers and material favors but, more importantly, of profound spiritual growth, increased faith, and deeper peace.

Many report that the most significant grace received was not the original intention they prayed for, but rather a transformation of heart, a deeper relationship with God, or the grace to accept His will with peace and joy. Others have experienced remarkable healings, both physical and spiritual, resolution of family difficulties, vocational clarity, and financial provisions.

The devotion has become particularly known for impossible cases or situations that appear hopeless, with Our Lady of Pompeii often invoked as the “Madonna of Impossible Cases” due to the remarkable interventions attributed to this novena.

Preparing for the Journey

Embarking on a 54-Day Rosary Novena requires genuine commitment and preparation. This is not a casual prayer practice but a serious spiritual undertaking that demands consistency and dedication.

Before beginning, it’s essential to clearly formulate your intention. This should be something significant that you genuinely desire God’s intervention upon, whether it concerns health, family, vocation, spiritual growth, or any other legitimate need.

It’s also important to approach the devotion with the right mindset. While we pray with confidence in God’s power and Mary’s intercession, we must also be prepared to accept whatever outcome God provides, trusting that His answer—whether yes, no, or wait—is always given in love.

Keeping a prayer journal during the 54 days can be particularly beneficial. Recording thoughts, insights, and any signs of God’s action can provide encouragement during difficult days and serve as a testimony to God’s faithfulness upon completion.

A Testament to Faith

For those feeling called to undertake this profound spiritual journey, the 54-Day Rosary Novena offers an opportunity for deep growth in faith, hope, and love. Like Fortuna Agrelli in 1884, we too can experience the extraordinary graces that Our Lady of Pompeii promised to all who complete this devotion with sincere hearts.

Whether you approach this novena seeking healing, guidance, provision, or simply a deeper relationship with God, you can be confident that Mary will present your prayers to her Divine Son under her beloved title of Queen of the Holy Rosary, and that God will respond according to His perfect love and wisdom.

We invite you to come join us in praying the 54-Day Rosary Novena by clicking on the link below, or by visiting our website and YouTube channel.

May Our Lady of Pompeii, Queen of the Holy Rosary, guide you on this transformative journey of faith and shower you with the abundant graces she has promised to all who persevere in this beautiful devotion. God bless.

Novena to the Precious Blood

Novena to the Precious Blood

V. O God, come to my assistance.
R. O Lord, make haste to help me.

V. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
R. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

By the Voice of Thy Blood, O Jesus, I seek Thee, ask Thee, and beg Thee to help me at this time of my need.

O Jesus, I kneel at Thy bleeding feet, pleading that You will hear me. Many graces and many mercies have come from Thy Blood. My hope lives in You until the end of my time.

O Jesus, by Thy Precious Blood which You shed for our souls, by each drop that You shed for our redemption, and by the tears of Thy Immaculate Mother, I beseech Thee and earnestly ask You to listen to my prayer:

O Jesus, who during all the days of Thy mortal life, You consoled so many sufferers, You healed so many infirmities, You raised so often a sinking courage; have pity on my soul, who cries to Thee from the depths of my anguish.

O Jesus, from the wounds of Thy heart, may a wave of Thy merciful blood flow and grant to me the grace that I so ardently desire.

O Jesus, hasten the moment when You will change my tears to joy and my sighs to thanksgivings. Amen.

Let us pray:

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Jesus, Crucified, have mercy on me.
