The “Ascension Novena“ prayer is a heartfelt appeal to Jesus Christ that is prayed over a nine-day period leading up to the feast of His glorious Ascension into Heaven. The prayer expresses joy and gratitude for Jesus’ glory and triumph, asks for grace to share in His eternal joy, seeks courage to persevere in faith, and overcome human weakness. A request for a special favor is also included.
